Flavor Profile - Alfalfa has a fresh, earthy flavor that goes well with many other herbs in teas and in other beverages and foods. Tastes grass-like and mildly sweet. Blends well with most other herbs in tea blends.

Culinary Usages - Add alfalfa to soups, strews, baked goods, smoothies and tea blends.

Cosmetic Usages - Use to make infusions, herbal oils and salves for skin irritations.

Early Arabians called Alfalfa the “father of all foods”, and with good reason! The herb is an extraordinary storehouse of vital vitamins, minerals and other phytonutrients including: calcium, magnesium, potassium, beta carotene, vitamins A, B-12, K, digestive enzymes, and the blood-builder, Chlorophyll.

Precautions - Do not use if you have an autoimmune disease. May interact with certain medications, such as Warfarin (Coumadin).
