Other Names - Sailor's Tobacco, Cronewort, Felon Herb, Old Uncle Henry,  Chrysanthemum Weed,  St. John's Plant, Common Wormwood and Wild Wormwood. In the Ukraine, the herb is called chornobylnik,

Origin - Hungary

Flavor Profile - Pleasant tasting but slightly resinous. Pair with simple herbs and flowers, like chamomile and mint. mugwort is described as tasting like chrysanthemum flowers. 

Typical Preparations - Traditionally used as a tea, may also be encapsulated or taken as an extract. Popularly mixed with other botanicals to create dream and sleep pillows for the invocation of dreams.

Mugwort is traditionally used in tea blends, but take note that the thujone content in the leaf can be toxic in high dosages. This herb can also trigger allergic reactions in people with sensitivities to other plants in the daisy family.

Cosmetic Usages - Infuse in oil or alcohol for use in various cosmetics, including lotions, ointments and liniments.

Aromatic Usages - Use in herbal incense blends.

Culinary Usages - Add to tea blends, alone or with other herbs.

Precautions - May be toxic with high doses or long-term use. Do not use during pregnancy.
