Red Whole Rosebuds & Petals

Botanical Name - Rosa centifolia

Other Names - witches' briar, briar rose, dog rose

Origin - Pakistan

Flavor Profile - Very mild in flavor but pleasant. Pair with cornflower, chamomile, lavender and citrus peel.

Culinary Usages - Add to tea blends, soups and salads and used to make exceptional decorations for cakes and pastries.

Cosmetic Usages - Infuse in oil or alcohol for use in skin cleansers, soaps, lotions and creams.

These brightly colored blooms come from the Dog Rose, a species of climbing rose native to Europe, Asia and parts of Africa.  Dried rose buds and petals are a good source of vitamin C and are a colorful addition to tea blends and potpourri mixtures.
