Aloe Vera Leaf Powder

Botanical Name - Aloe barbadensis

Other Names - Bitter Aloe, aloe, Barbados aloe, Curacao aloe, ghrita kumari, kanyasara

Origin - Mexico

"Bitter Aloe" is a dried latex taken from the "peel" of the leaves, more precisely the double wall of the leafs water sacs. When bitter aloe is first extracted from the leaf, it is yellow, but it turns brown as it dries.

Aloe vera leaf powder is great in face packs and soap, it can also be used in hair packs. Try it with some hibiscus powder as a hair pack to lock in moisture and promote shine.

Packaging - We package all of our herbal and fruit powders in a heat sealed mylar bag which serves as a very effective barrier to light, oxygen, odors, flavors, moisture, and bacteria. The bag can be resealed with any household iron or curling iron.

Precautions - Orally administered drugs should be taken one hour prior to consumption of aloe vera leaf gel or several hours after consumption, as it may slow the absorption of orally administered drugs. If you are taking any other herbs or supplements please consult with a qualified health-care provider before starting any new regimen.
