Citric Acid, also known as Sour Salt, is made up of fine crystals that give foods a puckery tartness, similar to lemons. It’s commonly used to replace salt; although it does not taste salty, it has a similar stimulating effect on the tongue.

As a food additive, it acts as an emulsifier. The powder is added to bath salts to soften hard water, to natural cosmetics to extend shelf life and to scouring powders to bind metals and remove lime and rust deposits.

Add a small amount to your cosmetic formulas to act as a preservative or to foods as a thickener. Can also be encapsulated as a dietary supplement and Include in natural household cleaning formulas. Run a teaspoon through the dishwasher or coffee maker to clean and remove mineral deposits.

Packaging - We package all of our herbal, fruit powders and spices in a heat sealed mylar bag which serves as a very effective barrier to light, oxygen, odors, flavors, moisture, and bacteria. The bag can be resealed with any household iron or curling iron.
