Culinary Usages - The seeds are inedible, but are used for sprouting red clover seedlings as food.

Yield - 1 tbsp of dry seed yields approx 3-4 cups of sprouts.

Red clover is a prolific meadow and pasture plant that serves as a forage crop for grazing animals. The plant is also a fast grower, germinating from seed in only a matter of days. The seeds are not edible, though.

Red clover seed is purchased for the purpose of growing sprouts, which are tasty and nutritious when added to sandwiches, salads and omelets.
