Senna is a main ingredient in many of today's colon health formulas and is usually combined with stomach soothing herbs such as Ginger, Fennel and Peppermint. Nutrutionally, Senna is devoid of calories and fat but a rich source of vitamin B.
The essential oils, tannins and other compounds in Senna possess anti-bacterial properties. These can inhibit the growth and proliferation of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and parasites.
